About ARP, Inc.

Addiction Recovery Programs, Inc. (ARP) is a non-profit corporation with a volunteer board of directors. Established in 1975, the initial mission was public information and education with regard to awareness of alcoholism. In 1981, ARP began delivery of treatment services in a correctional setting, providing a variety of educational and therapeutic programs for offenders, including assessments/diagnostic services, therapeutic communities, mental health groups, aftercare and transition groups, relapse prevention, cognitive behavioral education and twelve step meeting coordination. ARP is a strong yet flexible organization with 27 years of experience and cooperation in the field of mental health and substance abuse treatment.

ARP has interest in community projects and is currently administering Choice Points Service Learning Academy (CPSLA). Funded by the Colorado Department of Education and Fremont County Schools, CPSLA is an alternative educational experience designed for school age students, grades six through twelve, who are expelled or suspended from school. Referred students participate in a basic educational program, offering them the opportunity to remain connected to active learning. They are also involved in personal skills programs that help them avoid negative behavior, learn accountability and realize the value of service to others and their community. The combination of academic and service learning programs is designed to teach the students skills for a successful future. CPSLA works in cooperation with the Fremont RE-1 and RE-2 School Districts and the Build A Generation Foundation in Fremont County.
