About ARP, Inc.
Addiction Recovery Programs, Inc. (ARP) is a non-profit corporation with a volunteer board of
directors. Established in 1975, the primary mission was public information and education with
regard to awareness of alcoholism. ARP has provided treatment services to offenders in the
Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) since 1981.
Addiction Recovery Programs, Inc. currently provides, in a statewide network of Colorado
Department of Corrections (CDOC) facilities, a variety of mental health, alcohol and drug
treatment programs which include: assessment/diagnostic services, education, therapy,
therapeutic communities, mental health groups, aftercare groups, relapse prevention, women's
transition groups, cognitive behavioral education groups and coordination of twelve step
meetings.
ARP's expansion has provided a variety of educational and therapeutic programs for the male
and female offenders, youth offenders, and chronically mentally ill offenders in the Colorado
Department of Corrections.
In addition, ARP currently supports the community by having the Choice Points Service Learning Academy.
This Academy provides students who are at risk for expulsion or are expelled, a platform for integrating back
into the mainstream of school.
