Brief Descriptions of Programs Offered by ARP, Inc.
COMPREHENSIVE TREATMENT PROGRAM

An education-therapy program utilizing a cognitive-behavioral approach. This program provides clients with the skills to redirect negative value, beliefs, and behaviors into positive social standards for living.

RELAPSE PREVENTION PROGRAM

An education-therapy program for individuals who have a history of relapse, and assists each client to develop a relapse prevention plan.

BOOT CAMP PROGRAM

An education program targeting young adults, with special emphasis on replacing faulty belief systems with rational thought-processes, as well as relapse prevention.

STRATEGIES FOR SELF IMPROVEMENT AND CHANGE

A Three phase, Cognitive-Behavioral curriculum mandated for offenders by A.D.A.D. This program engages the offender in their own rehabilitation/habilitation process, enabling them to continue with treatment once they transition into the community. ARP currently delivers this program in D.O.C. and is involved in the quality assurance process, including the development of a certified trainer.

CHOICE POINTS SERVICE LEARNING ACADEMY

This project, recently funded by the Colorado Department of Education, provides alternative services for students who are expelled or suspended from school. The intent is to help the student learn accountability, avoid negative behavior and realize the value of service to others and their community. The program provides educational opportunities in conjunction with community service activities which will teach skills for a successful future. Choice Points works in cooperation with RE-1 and RE-2 School Districts and the Build A Generation Foundation in Fremont County.

TWELVE STEP PROGRAMS

ARP, Inc coordinates twelve step meetings. These groups incorporate the support of community-based volunteers.

MODIFIED THERAPEUTIC COMMUNITY

A twelve to eighteen month program designed specifically for the chronically mentally ill offender with a substance abuse history. It provides a supportive environment that assists the client in learning and practicing new behaviors needed for community living. Individual responsibility to the community is reinforced daily.

WOMEN'S PROGRAMING

The number of women sentenced to prison continues to escalate and in order to address the treatment needs of this population, all treatment programs are facilitated by professional who focus specifically on women's issues. This provides a safe forum to address gender-specific concerns.

SEX OFFENDER TREATMENT

ARP, Inc. provides therapists for the Colorado Department of Corrections Sex Offender Treatment Program. This treatment protocol is long term and the continuum of treatment includes incarceration, parole, or discharge. Community safety is paramount in this program.

DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED

This inmate population presents a unique set of challenges. These clients benefit from intensive staffing patterns and specialized groups which address individual needs. Job coaching, hygiene classes, living skills, and placement in the community are components of this program.

CO-OCCURING DISORDER PROGRAM

This program intervenes, treats, and provides education for chronically mentally ill/chemical abusing residents.
